... I bet that you heard something like rain, or the sheets rustling or what ever and your brain when you are asleep or just not thinking with 100% of your usual effort you connect sounds wrong. I'm not saying this with fact as much as I am with experience. I hear one thing and could swear I heard another. When i hear it again (if it's a recorded noise) I realize I was wrong (ie. waves on the lake shore. I asked why someone was riding horses so late at night) Read all comments »

... Sometimes, and usually when we are on the verge of sleeping, people hear things that are common. When I was younger I could have sworn I could hear my mother nagging at me for various things. Also, 3 AM is a prime REM sleep time. You may have not actually fully woken up and dreamt the voice. I do that sort of stuff A LOT! Read all comments »

... Yeah, I dig them old cars, too. I'm a bit of an automobile historian. That thing I was driving last night was a big Chrysler or Linclon Zephyr. That's been a recurring aspect of my dreams lately...cross-bred cars or cars of unknown parentage. I recall one night when my yard was full of old junk cars, and I was fascinated by something that looked very European. I spent all night trying to figure out what it was, and I never did! ... Thanks again for the interpretation - they're always interesting :) I can definitely see where this interpretation would fit into my current situation. I think the virtual reality metaphor came into play specifically because I have this idea in development regarding it IRL although it's up in the air whether it will actually work how I want it to. The metaphor on the other hand, applies to a different situation not involving it. It's really a curiosity how the mind can create these situational metaphors out of individual experiences to help explain to the dreamer the current state of their well-being. Read all comments »

Thank you for the interpretation! =D This may be in regards to my financial situation (mainly with the second dream, since there seemed to be a lot of focus on the money), but the rest of your interpretation seems to corroborate that, too.
